Texts
The books come from 青空文庫 Aozora Bunko, a library of Japanese works in the public domain typed and proofread by volunteers. Each book's page lists its source edition and the volunteers who prepared it. Catalogue data (titles, authors, first publication) is Aozora Bunko's, under CC BY 4.0.
Kataoka Yoshio's books are still in copyright: the author shares them through Aozora Bunko under CC BY-NC-ND 2.1 JP, as each book's source notes say.
The picture books and fairy tales translated by 大久保ゆう (Ōkubo Yū) are his own Japanese translations of public-domain originals, shared through Aozora Bunko under CC BY 2.1 JP or CC BY 4.0; イーダちゃんのお花 is under CC BY-NC 4.0. Each book's source notes give its licence. Kaidoku shows his text unchanged; the English sentence translations and explanations are Kaidoku's, not his.
館野浩美 (Tateno Hiromi)'s translations of Douglas Hyde's Irish folk tales are shared through Aozora Bunko under CC BY 4.0. In two of them Kaidoku corrected a typo in the furigana; the text is otherwise unchanged.
The graded readers from たどくのひろば (Tadoku no Hiroba) are written by Japanese teachers and learners and shared under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 (one under CC BY 4.0). Kaidoku took the text from the PDFs and left out the pictures, captions and reference lists; the wording is unchanged. Because of the ShareAlike term, Kaidoku's English translations and explanations of these readers are shared under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 too.
The stories from Global Storybooks are volunteers' Japanese translations of African Storybook picture books, each under the CC BY or CC BY-NC licence its source notes name, shown here without the pictures.
結城浩 (Yūki Hiroshi)'s translations of Oscar Wilde and O. Henry come from his website (Project Sugita Genpaku) under CC BY 4.0.
Two children's stories come from 星空文庫 (Hoshizora Bunko), whose authors choose a licence for each work: Daikichi's オオカミとひつじ is under CC BY-NC 4.0, and YO2's 綾と魔法使いシイナ under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, so Kaidoku's English translations of it are shared under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 too.
For every book, its source notes give the original, the credits and the licence. The furigana are generated by Kaidoku, and the English sentence translations and explanations are Kaidoku's own, not the authors' or translators'. Kaidoku is free and non-commercial, which the NonCommercial licences above require.
